San Luis Obispo, CA – December 5th, 2017 – Aquila Wealth Advisors, a new financial planning firm founded by Eric Maldonado, CFP®, MBA, CKA®, opened in October 2017 with the help of XY Planning Network (XYPN), the nation’s leading organization of fee-only financial planners serving Generation X and Generation Y clients. In addition to Gen X & Y, the firm will also specialize in Faith-based Financial Planning and Investing.

Eric Maldonado starts his business after over 6 years working as a financial advisor. Eric lives in San Luis Obispo with his wife, Shelby, and their 1 year old son, Asa. They are both involved with leading the College Group at their local church, Calvary SLO, and Eric enjoys coaching the San Luis Obispo Middle School wrestling program.
XY Planning Network kicked off a movement in 2014 to make financial planning accessible to the underserved Generation X and Generation Y populations by using a monthly subscription model rather than the traditional Assets Under Management (AUM) compensation structure. Charging a fixed or hourly fee ensures advisors work in the best interest of clients rather than for personal gain.
