#AquilaWealth Newsletter -- After defeat, Japan's World Cup team leaves behind a spotlessly clean locker room and a 'thank you' note
I read these three great articles this week, and I think you’ll like them too.
1. Shimmers: The New Credit Card Skimmers
https://www.moneytips.com/shimmers-the-new-credit-card-skimmers
I like this article because Aquila Wealth Advisors was featured in it. ;)
The best way to avoid credit card "shimmers," which is criminals taking your credit card info when using the chip insert to pay, is to use a touch-free payment option like ApplePay on your phone or the "tap" feature on your card, when paying in person.
2. Congrats, Investors! You’re Behaving Less Badly Than Usual
https://blogs.wsj.com/moneybeat/2018/06/29/congrats-investors-youre-behaving-less-badly-than-usual/
I like this article because it actually gives kudos to investors. It speaks to the reality of the “the behavior gap” when it comes to investing. There’s going to be another market correction (stock prices dropping), we all know this. But it’s the people that stick to their financial plan and refrain from “jumping ship,” that win in the end.
3. After defeat, Japan's World Cup team leaves behind a spotlessly clean locker room and a 'thank you' note
https://edition.cnn.com/2018/07/03/football/japan-belgium-russia-thank-you-locker-room-trnd/index.html
This article is a reminder that the small decisions are big decisions. 'Thank you' notes … Leaving places cleaner than when found … people see this, they notice, and it makes a positive impact. Japan lost to Belgium in the World Cup, yet they leave Russia with grace.
Hope to talk to you soon. Have a great week!
