Prepare for a recession but stick with stocks: JPMorgan's Chief Global Strategist
thinkadvisor.com/article

We all know the economy experiences seasons of expansion and contraction, just like we know winter comes after fall. It doesn't mean we try to "time the market" nor do we make hasty turns based on speculation. Rather, we continue the timeless process of wise financial planning. We make course corrections based on values, priorities and goals, based on regular discussions around your financial blue-print, and based on things you can effect & control.

Comparison of 529 plans and Roth IRAs for college savings
https://www.savingforcollege.com/articlelink

I'm often asked about ways to prepare financially for future university expenses for children. This article is a thorough comparison of two "tax free" ways to save and invest for education expenses.
In summary, I like the Roth IRA because it gives you more options for using the money, while still being "tax-free" if used for college expenses.
On the other hand, the 529 plan is especially effective for the specific purpose of higher education costs. This makes a lot of sense if you have many years to invest and if you are fairly certain there will be education expenses in the family down the road.

The Flight Deal

Follow on twitter @theflightdeal

I have a lot of conversations with clients around: travel goals, paying for travel, and planning for travel.
Theflightdeal.com is a lesser known resource that I often reference as a way to find really good deals on flights. If nothing else, it gives you ideas on places to travel. If you use "the twitter" follow @theflightdeal and you will see real time updates.

Have a great week
